●Here comes a OO-9 narrow gauge model, the first ever manufactured by Kato modeling after a steam locomotive “Small England Princess/Prince” preserved in U.K.,
“Small England Princess/Prince” is a steam locomotive representing Ffestiniog Railway, a preserved railway of 597 mm track gauge operated in Snowdonia National Park, U.K. It is a 2 driving-axle tank locomotive with a tender which was produced by Jeorge England company 1863 to 1867, one of the oldest locomotives of the railway. The “Princess/Prince” is preserved in a functional condition and still used to draw passenger cars in the preserved railway.
Currently, the “Princess” is preserved in a static state, while the “Prince” is kept in an operational state, and is used to pull passenger cars on preserved railroads.
◆ 009 (double O Nine) is a “narrow gauge” model train made on 1/76 scale with 9mm track gauge. It runs also on N scale Unitrack.
