Amtrak's new symbol, the ALC-42 Charger, is now available with the Amtrak 50th Anniversary logo. The actual car is Amtrak's state-of-the-art long-distance passenger diesel locomotive manufactured by Siemens, which has been in operation since summer 2021 , and will replace the approximately 25-year-old GE P42 locomotives, of which 75 more are planned by 2024. Amtrak has major plans to replace its aging GE P42 Genesis and P40 fleet, and ordered 75 ALC-42 Chargers from Siemens in December 2018, followed by an additional order for 100 units, with expansion plans currently underway.
The ALC-42 Charger has a maximum output of 4,200 hp, almost the same as the GE P42 Genesis, but with an engine that complies with emission regulations and incorporates European railway know-how. This new-generation electric diesel locomotive combines energy savings and high-speed performance (maximum speed 201 km/h) and is attracting attention as Amtrak's next main locomotive.

Amtrak's long-distance double-decker coach "Superliner", a representative of modern American railways, is now available. Amtrak, commonly known as the National Railroad Passenger Corporation, is a public corporation established in 1971 to operate rail passenger transport by merging the passenger divisions of the predominantly freight-oriented US railway companies. The 'Superliner' coaches are two-storey stainless steel carriages and are used on long-distance trains operated by Amtrak, and are representative of passenger transport in the USA.
