JR DE10-1500 Series Diesel Locomotive (Aichi/Okayama Depot, Units 1557 and 1561) Set
The DE10 series locomotives belonging to JR Freight's Aichi Depot were active in shunting, engineering trains, and towing freight trains in the Nagoya area.
Unit 1557 was the only JR Freight newly refurbished locomotive without the JRF mark on its side, and was the last remaining DE10 series locomotive at the Aichi Depot.
In 2024, its final year of service, it was loaned to the Okayama Depot and operated alongside unit 1561, but was retired in March 2025.
The DE10 series locomotives belonging to JR Freight's Okayama Depot were active in shunting at Kurashiki Freight Terminal and towing direct freight trains to the Mizushima Rinkai Railway.
Unit 1561 was the last remaining locomotive at the Okayama Depot. In addition to the characteristic interrupted white stripe on the front and black underframe of locomotives that underwent inspection at the JR Freight Hiroshima Depot, silver decorations were added to the chimney and couplers in 2021.
Like unit 1557, unit 1561 will also be retired in March 2025, marking the complete retirement of all JR Freight DE10 locomotives in that region.

About DE10-1561
● Reproduces the appearance of the JR Freight refurbished locomotives at Hiroshima Depot, with the white stripe on the front of the bonnet cut off and the underframe sides being black.
● Reproduces the appearance from 2021 onwards, with the snowplow changed to black and the chimney and coupling section changed to silver.
● The bonnet connecting rubber is reproduced in black.
