Series 117 Central JR Color 4-Car Set A
●The prototype is based on the S12 (4-car set A), S18 (4-car set B), and S11 + S7 (special edition) formations belonging to the Ogaki Depot from around 2010.
●The product features an orange stripe below the windows and gray underfloor equipment.
●4-car set A has a Kuha 116-200 series car as the down-bound lead car, and 4-car set B has a Kuha 117-100 series car as the up-bound lead car. The special edition features a revival color scheme with a Kuha 116-200 series car as the down-bound lead car and a Kuha 117-100 series car as the up-bound lead car.
●Newly created Kuha 117-100 series and Kuha 116-200 series cars with single-pane drop-down windows. The model accurately reproduces the differences in appearance between the 0-series additional cars, which differ from those in the Keihanshin area, including the absence of window pillar steps and the lack of canvas retainers.
● The Kuha 117-0 series cars reproduce the appearance of cars without side displays and equipped with toilets.
● The special edition set is an 8-car set in revival colors and JR Tokai colors. It allows you to reproduce mixed-color formations that were only seen on JR Tokai lines. Dedicated stickers are also included.
● Dummy couplers are pre-installed on the leading cars. By changing the couplers, it is possible to reproduce the 8-car formation of two coupled sets seen on the actual train (the 8-car set has coupling parts pre-installed).
● The powered car in the 4-car set does not have traction tires. The powered car in the special edition set has traction tires.
● Headlights/taillights on each leading car illuminate the front display (with an on/off switch).
● The front display is pre-installed with "Shin-kaisoku" (New Rapid). Replacement front displays for "Rapid," "Section Rapid," and "Local" are included. The 8-car set also includes one runner with 6 blank displays.
●The 4-car set A and special edition items come in an 8-car book case, while the 4-car set B comes in a 4-car cardboard box. The cars from the 4-car set B can be stored in the book case of the 4-car set A.
