Add-On type
The 923-3000 T5 configuration train, which is nicknamed “Doctor Yellow” and popular as a yellow Shinkansen, is a comprehensive test car of the Shinkansen electric railroads which collects basic data for track maintenance. The model has accuretly recreated floodlights that can be turned on, which shed light on the pantograph that measures catenaries.
- Using JR West's 3000 series T5 formation as a prototype, details that differ from JR Tokai's T4 formation (presence or absence of car No. 7 antenna, jack-up hole, roof color, etc.) are accurately captured and reproduced.
-Reproduce the observation dome and inspection equipment on the roof that are unique to the test vehicle, placed throughout the vehicle body.
-Reproduce the ``inspection floodlight'' installed near the pantograph of Car 2/Car 6 with a lighting type.
-The number car notation on the roof is reproduced with car number 4 (yellow) and others (gray).
- Beautifully expresses the distinctive yellow car body paint
-The headlights/taillights of the lead car, which are different from the regular 700 series, express two-color headlights with different tones.
-The connection part uses an easy-to-handle holo coupler (KATO diaphragm coupler) similar to the E5 series "Hayabusa" with a restoration function.
-The side windows are shown with roll curtains on to reproduce the appearance of the actual vehicle during inspection driving.
