JNR DE10-1000 type diesel locomotive (warm region type)
-The DE10 type was introduced in 1966 as a general-purpose diesel locomotive used for branch lines and freight car shunting.
It is the only Japanese National Railways type vehicle that was inherited by all seven JR companies when it was privatized, and is currently used by six companies except JR Tokai for shunting and towing freight and special trains.
Vehicles used in the Kyushu area during the JNR era were characterized by the omission of the white strip between the headlights, and this paintwork was carried over to vehicles later moved to Honshu and privatized.
