E6 Series Shinkansen “Komachi”Updated .The E6 series Shinkansen, connecting Tokyo and Akita, makes its debut with the latest specifications.
The E6 series began commercial operations as a new type of vehicle for the Akita Shinkansen in March 2013. On the Tokyo
to Morioka route, it is coupled with the E5/H5 series Shinkansen and operates at the domestic maximum speed of 320 km/h.
In recent years, the number of foreign tourists carrying large luggage has increased, so between February and August 2018,modifications were made to install large luggage storage spaces, while some windows in cars 13, 15, and 17 were sealed.Later, similar modifications were made to cars 12, 14, and 16, and the installation work extended to all cars except car 11.The E6 series Shinkansen "Komachi" appears in the latest specifications with window sealing modifications applied to all cars except car 11. Along with the upcoming release in February 2025 of <10-1969～1971 E5 series Shinkansen "Hayabusa">and <10-1967/1968 H5 series Hokkaido Shinkansen "Hayabusa">, you can enjoy coupling operation scenes just like those seen
on the Tokyo-Sendai route. Additionally, a power bogie with traction tires, useful for operating the E6 series Shinkansen by itself, will be re-released simultaneously by Hobby Center Kato.
