New GREENMAX 2
The Kintetsu 9820 series is a commuter train that was introduced in 2000 (Heisei 12), and was developed under the keywords "kind to people, kind to the earth" and collectively known as "Series 21." Each train set has different manufacturers of VVVF inverter control devices, pantographs, air conditioner shapes, destination displays, etc.
The trains are six-car trains deployed on the Nara Line, and in 2006 (Heisei 18) they were modified to run on the Hanshin Line. Along with the 9020 series and 8600 series, they are used on the Hanshin Line and on the Kyoto, Nara, Kashihara, and Tenri Lines.
The 2200 series was introduced in 2004 (Heisei 16) along with the all-special-car 2000 series μSky for rail access to Chubu Centrair International Airport. The 2200 series is made up of 6 cars, 2 special cars and 4 regular cars, and the interior equipment is almost the same as the 2000 series for special cars and the 3300 series for regular cars.
Starting with the 5th car (2213 car), which was added in February 2019 (Heisei 31), the magic mirror treatment on the front through-door-like window glass has been omitted, and the same treatment has been applied to the 1st car and subsequent cars.
