10-2114 , Until the opening of the Hokuriku Shinkansen between Kanazawa and Tsuruga on October 14, express trains such as the Thunderbird and Shirasagi ran from Osaka and Nagoya in the Hokuriku region, and the Hokuriku Main Line was so popular with conventional express trains that it was nicknamed the "Express Highway."
The 10-2157 and 10-2158 "L-train" trains are collaborations with the Saitama Seibu Lions, a professional baseball team operated by Seibu Railway. They feature the team's "Legend Blue" livery, along with the team logo and photos of players from each season.

This 45.3km line runs from Okazaki on the Tokaido Main Line to Kozoji on the Chuo Main Line via Shin-Toyota, where it connects with the Nagoya Railroad Toyota Line and Mikawa Line. This third-sector railway opened in January 1988, combining the Okazaki-Shin-Toyota section of the former JNR Okada Line with the new Shin-Toyota-Kozoji section.
