Red Arrow KATO 10-1359

The Seibu Railway 5000 series was a train model dedicated to paid, reserved-seat limited express services, introduced to coincide with the opening of the Seibu Chichibu Line in 1969; it won the Blue Ribbon Award from the Japan Railfan Club in 1970.
Affectionately known as the "Red Arrow," the train operated on services such as the "Chichibu" and "Oku-Chichibu" (connecting Ikebukuro or Seibu-Shinjuku to Seibu-Chichibu) and the "Musashi" (connecting Ikebukuro to Hanno).
The name translates to "red bow and arrow" in Japanese; perhaps the design was inspired by the shape of a bow and arrow?
