YAKUMO by KATO 10-2000

I think I'll go to Okayama to take photos of the "Yakumo" next time. The Yakumo is both an express train and a tourist train.

KATO has released the 10-2000 model train.

The 273 series began operation in April 2024 as a new model of the "Yakumo" express train that runs between Okayama and Izumo City. It features a body color called "Yakumo Bronze" with the concept of "a body that resonates with the scenery of the San'in and Hakubi lines and stands out in nature," and the latest "natural pendulum system with on-board control" to improve ride comfort. Of the 11 trains, both leading cars of the 1st to 6th and 11th trains have through doors on the front, but the 7th and 9th trains, Kumoha 272, and the 8th and 10th trains, Kumoha 273, have a non-through structure. Normally, the train is operated as a 4-car train, but when there are many passengers, two trains are coupled together to operate as an 8-car train.++
