JR Kyushu BEC819 series 0 + 100 (Kasai Line) 4-car set (motor included)
The BEC819 series is the world's first AC battery-powered car developed by JR Kyushu, and was introduced in 2016. The cars have the same specifications and performance as the 817 series, and are also used in coupled operation. They are characterized by the blue side boarding doors and the blue batteries placed all under the floor of the car.
The 100 series is a group that has been modified and renumbered from the 0 series, and two sets of four cars are in use.
■BEC819 series 0 and 100 series used on the Wakamatsu Line (Chikuho Main Line Wakamatsu-Orio) and Kashii Line
■Selectable destination display, reproduces the characteristic underfloor storage battery
■Vehicle number, train number, JR mark, various logos, and various markings are printed
■Type/destination display, priority seat display, and storage battery warning display are attached from the included sticker (newly produced)
■Lightning arrester and AC equipment are already installed
■Train radio antenna and signal flare are expressed as one unit
■Headlights (white), taillights (red), and front type/destination display (white) are lit
■Lights on the leading car in the middle of the 4-car set are not lit
■Equipped with a coreless motor power unit with flywheel
