Tobu 7820 Series (Isesaki Line, Selectable Car Number) 6-Car Set (Motorized)

The Tobu 7820 Series is a 20m-class commuter train built in 31 sets (62 cars) between 1957 (Showa 32) and 1960 (Showa 35). Other than the lack of toilets in the Kuha cars, the specifications are similar to the Moha 7890 Series. Features include single-wing doors, wooden floors, no air conditioning, a hanging motor, and leaf spring bogies. Compared to the 7800 Series, the window supports are now H-rubber. Additionally, the interior walls are now made of metal, and the sunshades have been changed from "shuttered doors" to "curtains."

To accommodate longer trains, some cars were converted to intermediate cars by removing the driver's cab, and four-car fixed formations were also formed.
For many years, these locomotives served primarily on the Isesaki, Nikko, and Tojo Lines. However, in 1985, their final service on the Ogose Line was replaced by the 5000 series and they were phased out.
