1/24 scale Subaru 360 Young SS “1968”
The Subaru 360 has not changed its basic style since its launch, and has been nicknamed "Ladybug" due to its cute body style.

In May 1955, in response to the Ministry of International Trade and Industry's concept of a people's car, Fuji Heavy Industries created the Subaru 360 by making use of the aircraft technology that descended from Nakajima Airplane.

The body adopts a monocoque structure for the first time in a domestic car, giving it a rational and unique style.

With a roomy interior that comfortably accommodates four adults, an easy-to-drive, comfortable ride, and economic efficiency, we pursued functionality while eliminating waste.

Since it was officially announced in March 1958, the number of variations has increased due to the diversification of various needs. In August 1959, a convertible was announced in line with the arrival of the leisure age, and in December of the same year, a commercial was released as a combined passenger and freight vehicle. The Young SS, which was announced in November 1968, was a model that Young longed for at a time when minicars were becoming more powerful. The cumulative production volume of the Subaru 360 has reached 500,000 units, and it can be said that it is a masterpiece of minicars that represent Japan.
