313-5000 Series "Shinkaisoku" 3-Car Add-on Set
JR Central’s iconic 313 Series—especially the 5000 and 5300 subseries—has served the Chūkyō region since 1999. With 6-car and 2-car formations, they combine into 8-car sets for “Shin-Kaisoku” services. A major feature cross-seat interior, designed for commuter comfort. The 5000 series also incorporates semi-active suspension and inter-car dampers to improve ride quality at high speeds and consists of 6-car sets, while the 5300 series runs in 2-car formations. They as “Shin-Kaisoku” (Special Rapid) services.
