E721-0 & E721-1000 Series 6-Car Set

We are releasing a model of the E721 series, which operates on AC-electrified lines in the Southern Tohoku region served by JR East. This series debuted in 2007, intended for fleet renewal at JR East's Sendai Depot and for service on the Sendai Airport Access Line. Designed to align with the low-profile platforms found on regional lines, the train features a low-floor body structure utilizing small-diameter wheels, achieving a barrier-free, step-free entrance. Following the initial 0-series and 500-series (2-car sets), the fixed 4-car 1000-series was introduced in 2016; the series encompasses a wide range of variations, including vehicles owned by third-sector railway companies that share the same basic design and manufacturer.

We are releasing three versions: a 2-car set (0-series, one-man operation compatible), a 4-car set (1000-series), and a 6-car set (Special Release) combining non-one-man 0-series and 1000-series cars.
These trains operate on the Tohoku Main Line (Shin-Shirakawa to Ichinoseki), Joban Line (north of Haranomachi), Senzan Line (Sendai to Yamagata), and Ban-etsu West Line (Koriyama to Aizu-Wakamatsu). It is a fascinating series that allows for diverse operational scenarios, such as coupled operation with the popular 701-1000 series (Sendai livery) or shared service alongside the HB-E300 series "Hinabi" and "Satono" trains. Enjoy recreating the modern railway scene of the Tohoku region with this model set. ① Models the P4-6 trainset assigned to the Sendai Rolling Stock Center; features gray bogies and underfloor equipment, with blue-gray cowcatchers (skirts).
② Beautifully reproduces the distinct livery stripe colors for the 0-series and 1000-series (0-series: green, white, and red; 1000-series: green, white, and pink); car numbers, depot markings, and car number designations are pre-printed.
③ Accurately reproduces the differences in passenger window size opposite the lavatory area, specific to each series variant.
④ Headlights and taillights illuminate (includes an on/off switch); all four headlights on each car light up.
⑤ Uses DT72/TR256 bogies designed for low-floor vehicles; features small-diameter wheels (5.2mm) and realistically reproduces the prototype's 2,100mm axle spacing. Snowplows are pre-installed.
⑥ The front end of the lead car is fitted with a dummy coupler featuring a coupler cover.
⑦ The front-facing coupler on the lead car allows for coupled operation with the 701 series; intermediate connections utilize body-mounted close-contact couplers (hookless type).
⑧ Cowcatchers (skirts) accurately reproduce specific details, such as the varying positions of inspection hatches between the Kumoha E721 and Kuha E720, as well as the presence or absence of hatches depending on the series variant.
⑨ The front destination display is pre-set to "Sendai"; replacement displays for "Shin-Shirakawa" and a blank option are included, along with a destination sticker sheet.
⑩ DCC-friendly.
