JR EH200 Series Electric Locomotive (New Paint)
The EH200 Series is a two-car DC electric locomotive with a prototype first introduced in 2001, followed by production models in 2003.
Nicknamed "ECO-POWER Blue Thunder" due to its blue-based body paint, the EH200 Series features a logo on the body.
It is currently active on the Chuo Main Line, Shinonoi Line, Shinetsu Main Line, and Joetsu Line, where the EF64 Series was primarily used.
It will also begin operation on the Chuo-Sai Line from 2022, making it possible to see it in the Chukyo region.
Vehicles that have undergone inspection in recent years are currently in service with a new paint scheme that does not feature the JRF markings on the side of the car body.
