JR 223-2000 Series Commuter Train (First Run, with Fall-Proof Hood, 8-Car Set)

The 223-2000 series commuter train was introduced in 1999 to replace the 113 and 117 series electric trains on the Tokaido and Sanyo Main Lines.
Based on the 1000 series, with cost reductions, over 600 cars were manufactured by 2008, making it the most popular series.
The first batch of cars appeared between 1999 and 2000, and compared to later additions, they feature tinted windows and the 222-2000 series Moha, which lacks some equipment.
Since around 2015, fall-protection hoods have been installed on the leading cars, service number displays have been removed, and wipers have been added above the connecting doors on some cars.
● The structure of the front window frames of the lead cars has been changed to be reproduced by carving them into the window glass parts.
● Wipers have been added to the connecting doors, recreating the appearance of the reduced-size windows. Replacement connecting doors come with front window parts without wipers.
● The fall prevention hood has been redesigned and newly produced. It can be attached to existing models and will be released as a separate part <PP0813>.
● New couplers have been produced with attachment points for preparing for the two-stage electric coupler.
● The roofs of the KuMoHa 223, MoHa 222, and MoHa 223 models are reproduced differently from the third-generation cars.
● The front windows are green to reflect the current appearance as replacements are underway, while the side windows are smoked, a color derived from the first-generation cars.
● Headlights are equipped with an illumination function that lights up regardless of direction of travel when connecting lead cars together.
● The lower part of the lead car's skirt is reproduced as it appears to have been extended.
● The JR mark is printed.
● The front display is printed on the "A Special Rapid Service" part. "Himeji" is already installed and replacement parts are included.
● Car number is selectable and a transfer sheet is included.
● Head and tail lights and front display are equipped with constant-on boards and an ON/OFF switch.
● Head and tail lights and front display are illuminated by white LEDs.
● The driver's side of the lead car is equipped with a TN coupler (SP) with a small body support.
● Uses a flywheel-equipped power unit.
● New current collection system and silver wheels.
● Uses an M-13 motor.
