JR Kiha 70/71 Diesel Car "Yufuin no Mori I"
The Kiha 70/71 (Yufuin no Mori) is a highland resort train that debuted in 1989 as a limited express train running between Hakata, Yufuin, and Beppu.
While based on modified versions of the Kiha 65 and Kiha 58, the front end features a distinctive rounded, non-through design and large, curved windows for excellent views.
After being converted to a four-car train, the interior was renovated and the engines were updated in 2003.
