JR 700-7000 Series Sanyo Shinkansen ("Hikari Rail Star") Set
The 700-7000 series is a trainset dedicated to the Sanyo Shinkansen "Hikari Rail Star" service, introduced in March 2000 and based on the 700-0 and 3000 series.
Its exterior livery is based on the design of the earlier 500 series, featuring a distinctive yellow band.
It currently operates on the Sanyo Shinkansen as "Hikari" and "Kodama" services.
