De minimis system
Good morning. I am Japan store .
Today, I'd like to inform you about important regulatory changes that affect everyone exporting to the United States.
Starting August 12, 2025, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will fully implement the de minimis system.
Under Section 321 of the Tariff Act, cargo that meets the following conditions is exempt from duties:
● The value of the goods must be less than $800.
● There is a daily limit of $800 per importer (exceeding this limit will be taxable).
● Multiple shipments to the same importer will be counted as one shipment.
● The value must be clearly stated on the invoice or manifest.
Note: This does not apply to products originating in China or the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
I'll check state taxes in the future. Thank you
