The Kintetsu 22600 series Ace is a new general-purpose express train that was introduced to replace the 12200 series. It is available in two-car and four-car configurations, and is characterized by a smoking room installed in the leading car without a pantograph.
The body is based on the 22000 series ACE, and incorporates new designs such as a rounded front shape, enlarged side windows, and a single-arm pantograph. In operation, it is often seen coupled with other express trains (12200 series, 12400 series, 12410 series, 12600 series, 22000 series, etc.).
Since December 2012, modifications have been made to allow it to run on the Hanshin Line, and the skirt shape of some formations has been changed.
The Meitetsu 3500 series was introduced in 1993 as a high-performance commuter train that replaced the previous 6000 series commuter trains (6000, 6500, 6800 series). It was the first train on Meitetsu to adopt VVVF inverter control, electric command brakes, and one-handle master controllers, and was the first train to achieve improved high-speed performance, allowing it to run at 120km/h.
The car body is made of ordinary steel, similar to the 6500 series, with three doors and long seats, and a skirt is attached to the front. In addition, the "ECB" logo, which indicates that the car is equipped with an electric command brake, is affixed to the front.
Full-scale renovation work began in 2017, and in addition to updating the control equipment, destination displays have been replaced with full-color LEDs, door chimes have been installed, and in-car information displays have been updated.
