KATO 10-2096 Yamagata Shinkansen

The E3 series 2000 series was introduced in 12 seven-car trains between December 2008 and April 2010. Compared to the E3 series 1000 series, the headlight shape and other features were changed, and the trains replaced the 400 series that had been in service since the Yamagata Shinkansen opened. In April 2014, a new paint job was implemented to enhance the appeal of the Yamagata Shinkansen, in conjunction with the Yamagata Destination Campaign in 2015.

This Shinkansen often stopped here at the beginning of summer. I hope it remains in service during the Obon period.
