Tokyu Corporation 5050 Series 4000 Series <Shinkansen Wrapping Train> began operation in May 2024 as part of the "enjoy WEST" promotion. The entire car is wrapped in Shinkansen white with two Shinkansen blue lines under the windows. In addition, the train connects with the Tokaido Shinkansen at Shin-Yokohama Station on the Tokyu Corporation Shin-Yokohama Line, which opened in 2023, and "creates an exciting feeling of going on a trip while using the Tokyu line so that you can enjoy your trip using the Tokaido-Sanyo Shinkansen." In addition, the "Hikari Chime" heard on the Tokaido-Sanyo Shinkansen is reproduced, and in-car advertisements in collaboration with JR Central are also displayed.
Tokyo Metro's 16000 series was introduced in 2010 to replace the aging 6000 series on the Chiyoda Line. In addition to the Chiyoda Line, the trains also operate on the JR Joban Line and Odakyu Line, serving a wide range of areas. There are five trains, from the 1st to the 5th, and the 1st, 2nd and 5th trains were manufactured by Kawasaki Sharyo with a structure called efACE (E-Face). The first five trains (the 1st train) are unique in that the front emergency exits are located in the center of the car, unlike the other trains.

The EF58 appeared in 1946 as a locomotive to meet the demand for passenger transport after the end of the war. Initially it had a box-shaped body, but later it was replaced with a streamlined body and other improvements were made, and 172 units were manufactured by 1958. Among them, the No. 89 unit equipped with an icicle cutter was painted brown (grape color No. 2) in 1984, at the end of the JNR era, and pulled event trains. After that, it was painted in regular colors again, but it was popular as the only one equipped with an icicle cutter among the few active EF58s, and was used to pull various event trains until 1999. It has since been preserved as an exhibition unit at the Railway Museum in Omiya.
The Yutari Yakumo is a limited express train that runs between Okayama and Izumo City, Shimane Prefecture. It attracted attention as the last JNR-type limited express train to be in regular service, and retired from regular service in June 2024, handing over its role to the new 273 series trains. In its later years, the bogies of each car were painted gray, and some cars, such as Kuro 381-139, had all of their underfloor equipment painted gray.
The E231-500 series, which was active on the Yamanote Line, was transferred to replace the E235 series when it was introduced, and is now operated on the Chuo and Sobu local lines. The train is a 10-car formation with one less car, and is painted in the familiar yellow line color of the Sobu local line, giving it a new look. It is also equipped with external speakers, and at the same time, the control equipment was updated and platform position detection devices were installed.
