Keihan 2400 Series 2nd 2454 7-Car New Color
The Keihan 2400 Series is the first commuter train in the Kansai region to be equipped with air conditioning after the war, which was introduced in 1969 (Showa 44) as an addition to the 2200 Series. It is characterized by eight small air conditioners installed on the roof per car, and there are differences in the shapes of the air conditioners, pantographs, and other rooftop equipment between the first and second trains. In addition, different bogies are used for the motor cars and trailer cars.
The car body was renovated from 1988 (Showa 63), and destination displays were installed, the front shape was changed accordingly, and the interior was updated.
The headlights have been replaced from sealed beams to white LEDs since around 2017 (Heisei 29).
