JR DE10-1000 type diesel locomotive (cold region type/Takasaki Rolling Stock Center)
-The DE10 type was introduced in 1966 as a general-purpose diesel locomotive used for branch lines and freight car shunting.
Among the DE10 types owned by JR East, the vehicles that are mainly used in the Tokyo metropolitan area have had a change in appearance due to the addition of a door to the front of the bonnet on the 2nd end side due to the installation of ATS-P.
In the metropolitan area, the DE10 type was placed at the Utsunomiya Driving Center and the Takasaki Vehicle Center, but in 2017, all cars were moved to the Takasaki Vehicle Center.
The DE10 type located at the Takasaki Rolling Stock Center is used not only as a replacement machine at the depot, but also for towing train trains.
