JR E5 Series Tohoku/Hokkaido Shinkansen (Hayabusa) Add-On
The E5 series, which debuted as "Hayabusa" in 2011, began coupled operation with the E6 series in 2013, and as of 2022 operates at a maximum speed of 320km/h.
In recent years, baggage storage has been expanded in the carriages to accommodate larger baggage, so some of the windows are now blocked off.

● Some windows of cars 1 to 8 are blocked off to accommodate the additional luggage storage areas in cars 1 to 9
● Anti-slip roof is printed in gray
● Car number is selectable and transfer sheet is included
● This product (cars 3, 4, and 5) can be combined with product numbers 98497 and 98499 to create a full 10-car formation
● Equipped with movable hood
● Equipped with movable pantograph
● Uses hook and U-shaped current-carrying coupler
● The movable hood reproduces the black outer hood adopted in the U28 formation and later
● Car number markings are printed
● Uses new current collection system and silver wheels
