KIHA 187-500
The KIHA 187-500 series is a limited express diesel car of JR West that was introduced in 2003.
It was introduced as the "Super Inaba" to replace the KIHA 181 series "Inaba" that previously ran between Okayama and Tottori.
The "Super Inaba" sometimes runs on the Chizu Express Line, and because of safety equipment, the window arrangement is different from the conventional KIHA 187 series, so it was newly renamed to the 500 series.
In later years, a wiper cover was added to the top of the front through door window.
