E217 SERIES YOKOSUKA-SOBU LINE Basic Set (8-Car)
The E217 series, introduced at the same time as the 209 series, features lightweight stainless steel bodies with four doors, similar to the 209 series. The design of the high operating cab, Equipped with a crushable zone in the leading car, has been inherited by subsequent models such as the E231 series 1000 series, E233 series, and E235 series. Along with its successor, E235-1000 series , it is still in service today.
