Hapi-Line Fukui 521 Series 2-Car Set
Hapi-Line Fukui is a newly established third-sector railway line, established following the March 2024 extension of the Hokuriku Shinkansen between Kanazawa and Tsuruga. This line was established when a portion of the parallel conventional line between Kanazawa and Tsuruga (between Daishoji and Tsuruga) was separated from JR.
The trains were 16 two-car 521 series trains previously used on the same section, and feature an original pink-based color scheme.
In June of the same year, a fully wrapped train was introduced, garnering attention for its vibrant appearance.
The Hapi-Line Fukui 521 series, introduced with the Hokuriku Shinkansen extension to Tsuruga, is now available.
In addition to the standard two-car set, a four-car set will also be released, combining the two fully wrapped trains (of which only two exist) with the standard train.
Enjoy these trains alongside the 10-1959/1960 Series 683 "Thunderbird" (renewed) and 10-2071 Series 683 "Shirasagi" (new paint) trains you'll see at Tsuruga Station.

The two-car set features HF11 formation, while the four-car set features HF09 and HF10 formations.
The vibrant pink color scheme is reproduced. The special edition is a four-car set that combines the standard paint scheme with a fully-wrapped formation.
The front end is equipped with a dummy coupler. By replacing it with the included front coupler, the front cars can be coupled together.
The intermediate coupler features a body-mounted close-coupling coupler (without hook).
The slotless motor provides even smoother and quieter running. Demagnetization plates included

Front destination signs are pre-installed: "One-Man Local Fukui" on the 2-car set, "One-Man Local Tsuruga" on the 4-car standard paint scheme, and "Rapid Fukui" on the fully wrapped train. Replacement "Rapid Tsuruga" and "(plain)" signs are included with the 2-car set, and "Local Fukui" and "(plain)" signs are included with the 4-car set.
Side destination signs are printed in black. Destination display stickers are included.
