813 Series 2200 Type

The 813 Series began commercial operations in 1994 as JR Kyushu's first VVVF inverter-equipped vehicles and are still
actively operating today, mainly in the Fukuoka metropolitan area. The 2200 series is a version that underwent modifications
to increase passenger capacity by removing some of the reversible cross seats and converting them to longitudinal seats.
Recently, work has been ongoing to remove the instrument transformers installed around the pantograph.

The 813 Series, a mainstay vehicle for JR Kyushu, can be enjoyed alongside various other vehicles running in the Kyushu
region, such as the popular 10-1540/1541 787 Series "Around Kyushu", also currently on sale.
