It limited express “Mahoroba” connects Osaka and Nara and was originally operated as a seasonal service with changing
routes. In 2024, it was upgraded to a regular service, with the 683 Series-6000 trains introduced specifically for exclusive use on this line.
The first set, named “An’nei” (meaning Peace and Tranquility), made its debut in April featuring a bold new livery. The colors
are inspired by the warmth of “sunlight in paradise,” symbolizing harmony and the timeless spirit of ancient Nara.
