The definitive version of the DC express train, the 165 series, is one of the famous cars that expanded JNR's express network.

-This is the last DC express type train of JNR, and there are also green cars and buffet cars, and it was widely used for express and local use in Tohoku (south of Kuroiso), Joetsu, Koshinetsu, Boso, Tokai, Nanki areas, etc.
-The 800 series (Moha 164-800) has appeared in the KATO (HO) 165 series, and each format including Moha 165 is also produced at the same time.
-Following the 0 series currently on sale, the 800 series also uses a dolly power unit, and is the current specification with improvements around the light unit.

- Air conditioned modified car around 1978 - Salo 165 with green belt, commercialized without toilet tank
-The 4-car set of Kuha 165 odd-numbered cars reproduces a form that is different from the regular Kuha 165 in the jumper plug position under the floor at the front.
- Kuha 165 single item reproduces the underfloor without filth treatment equipment
-Kuha 165/Kumoha 165's signal flame tube is reproduced in orange
-Moha 164-800 reproduces the low roof form
-The H rubber around the windows are all expressed in gray. The H rubber on the odor removal window is also reproduced in gray.
