●Hokuso Development Railway was established in 1972 as part of the Chiba New Town development.
●The Kita-Hatsutomi-Komuro section opened in March 1979, and at the time it ran to Matsudo on the Shin-Keisei Line.
●In March 1991, the second line between Shin-Kamagaya and Keisei-Takasago opened, and direct service to the Keisei Line, Toei Asakusa Line, and Keikyu Line began, but service to the Shin-Keisei Line was discontinued in July of the following year.
●The company name was changed to the current "Hokuso Railway" on July 1, 2004.
●The 7000 Series was introduced in 1979, and won the Railway Friendship Club Laurel Award in 1980 for its ambitious design, including a unique Σ-shaped front shape, an interior without fixed windows or straps.
●In 1990, an intermediate car was added to make it an 8-car train, and later the leading car was converted to an electric car.
●All cars were retired in March 2007, and car No. 7001 is preserved next to Nishi-Shiroi Station.
●Lighting is irregularly held for a limited time.
