[Actual vehicle introduction]
In 1969 (Showa 44), Osaka City introduced the 60 series along with the opening of the Sakaisuji Line.
Since the Sakaisuji Line was scheduled to run directly with the Hankyu Line, the overhead wire current collection system was adopted for the first time in Osaka City.
When it first appeared, the front lower part was painted red as a warning color, but with the establishment of the line color, it was gradually changed to brown (vivid brown) from 1975 (Showa 50), and the side also has a band with the company crest. Rolled.
In addition, due to the increase in transportation capacity, the 18 5-car trains were reorganized into 15 6-car trains, and further modified into 8-car trains, eventually resulting in 9 8-car trains.
In parallel with the rearrangement, the pantograph was changed to a lower frame crossing type from 1981 (Showa 56), and cooling remodeling was performed from 1991 (Heisei 2).
From the second 6002 formation onwards, replacement of passenger doors, installation of side destination indicators,
Car body renewal work such as replacement of interior materials and seats was also carried out, and the customer service facilities were improved to the same level as the successor series 66.
In the end, four 8-car trains were remodeled and upgraded, but they were retired in 2003 as the successor series 66 was added.
Car No. 6014 is currently in storage.
