JNR C57 Steam Locomotive 135

The C57 was a passenger steam locomotive introduced as the successor to the C55, and was active on main and secondary lines throughout Japan.

Of these, No. 135 pulled Train 225, the last passenger train operated by a steam locomotive on JNR on December 14, 1975. It was later housed at the Transportation Museum and is now preserved at the Railway Museum.
