JR KiHa 143 Series Diesel Car (Sassho Line) Set

The KiHa 143 series is a diesel car type introduced in 1994, created by converting 50-51 series passenger coaches; it features an upgraded drivetrain compared to the similar KiHa 141 series.
These trains operated in the Sapporo suburbs on the Sassho Line as three-car formations, with a KiSaHa 144 series trailer car coupled in the middle, often running alongside KiHa 40, 141, and 142 series units.
