14-200 Series Moonlight Kyushu 8-Car Set

The 14-200 series is a modified version of the 14 series passenger car developed by JR West for fluctuating demand. Modifications included seating changes, the addition of large luggage racks, and a repaint.

The Moonlight Kyushu was an overnight express train operating between Kyoto (later Shin-Osaka) and Hakata, primarily during spring, summer, and the New Year's holiday period.

Mainly using 14-200 series cars from the Kyoto General Depot, it operated as a 6-car train with an observation car on the Kyoto end.

From the summer of 2005, the train was changed to an 8-car formation, but from the winter of 2006, it became an 8-car formation without the observation car, and service ended in the winter of 2009.

● Reproduces the 14 Series 200 series that operated on the Moonlight Kyushu.
