JR Series E235-0 Commuter Train (Late-Production Type / Yamanote Line)
The Series E235 is a new type of commuter train introduced on the Yamanote Line in March 2015.
A total of 50 trainsets were deployed by 2020, replacing the older Series E231 trains.
The shape of the roof beads (ribs) was modified starting with the trainsets that debuted around 2018.
● Replicates the late-production type of the Series E235-0, featuring narrower roof beads
● Distinctive line-color markings on the doors are reproduced via printing
● Car numbers are pre-printed
● JR mark is pre-printed
● Side windows feature green-tinted glass
● Headlights, tail lights, and front destination displays are equipped with a constant-lighting circuit board
● Headlights, tail lights, and front destination displays utilize white LEDs
● Front destination display comes pre-installed with a printed "Yamanote Line" part
● Dummy coupler equipped only on the cab end of the leading car
● Motorized unit features a flywheel
● Uses a new power pickup system and black wheels
● Equipped with an M-13 motor
