JR E2-1000 Series Tohoku/Joetsu Shinkansen (Enhanced Type) Basic Set
The E2-1000 series was developed in 2001 for the opening of the Tohoku Shinkansen line to Hachinohe, based on the conventional E2-0 series. Compared to the E2-0 series, the E2-1000 series features larger side windows and a single-arm pantograph. It operated between Tokyo and Fukushima, replacing the conventional E4 series, and was coupled with the E3 series Yamagata Shinkansen "Tsubasa."
●A full 10-car formation can be reproduced by combining this product with the <98899> add-on set.
●Reproduces the upgraded model with enlarged destination displays.
●Logo and car number markings are pre-printed.
●Car numbers are selectable and transfer sheets are included.
●Equipped with movable gangway connections.
●Uses colored seats.
●Equipped with a constant lighting circuit board for headlights and taillights; only the E224 model has an ON/OFF switch.
●Headlights use warm white LEDs, and taillights use red LEDs.
●The driver's cab side of the E224 model is equipped with a TN coupler.
●Uses hook and U-shaped conductive couplers.
●Uses a flywheel-equipped motor.
●Uses a new current collection system and silver wheels.
●Uses an M-13 motor.
