【E231 Series 1000 (Oyama Train Depot)】
●The E231 Series 1000 was introduced in 2000 to replace the 115 and 211 series trains that had been operating on the Utsunomiya Line (Tohoku Line) and Takasaki Line.
The trains introduced to the Oyama Train Depot in the early 2000s have features that differ from the additional trains introduced for the Tokaido Line after 2004, such as the continuous green stripe on the side panels, the long running boards extending to above the crew doors of the leading cars,
the non-glass cockpit driver's console, and the location of the toilets in the train.
◆Both the 10-car and 5-car trains will be produced in their current specifications after equipment updates.
You can enjoy operating trains with up to 15 cars by coupling them with the popular <10-1784~1787 E231 Series 1000 Series Tokaido Line (updated)> and
<10-1267S~1270S E233 Series 3000 Series Tokaido Line/Ueno-Tokyo Line>.

- Models of the U522 (10 cars) and U60 (5 cars) train sets belonging to the Oyama Train Depot, reproduced in their updated specifications.
- Reproduces features seen in the early models, such as the continuous green stripe on the side panels and the roof with small air conditioners throughout the train set.
- The leading cars reproduce the long running boards extending above the crew doors and the non-glass cockpit driver's console.
- Only the front glass of car 15 (Kuha E231-8022) reproduces the state with film applied around the destination and train number displays.
- Newly manufactured AU725B air conditioners (Transportec). (Applicable to cars 10, 14 and 15)
- Reproduces car 10 (Kuha E231-6022) without a toilet and car 6 (Saha E231-6022) with a toilet.
- Reproduces the underfloor equipment of the updated Moha E230/Moha E231 in both the 10-car set and the 5-car auxiliary set.
- Reproduces the form of the Salo E231/E230 bogies with the yaw dampers removed.
- Slotless motor is used for smooth and quiet running.
- Affiliation markings are set to "Miya-Yama", and safety device markings are set to "P" and "SN".
- Headlights/taillights and front destination display light up (white LEDs used). Cars 10 (Kuha E231-6022) and 11 (Kuha E230-6022) have light-off switches.
* The leading couplers on cars 1 and 15 are dummy couplers, while the leading couplers on cars 10 and 11 use KATO close-coupling couplers (without hooks), and electrical connectors are included.
* The intermediate couplers are equipped with body-mounted KATO close-coupling couplers (with hooks) as standard. This achieves a realistic coupling surface and smooth running.
