24 Series 25 Type Sleeping Car "Seto / Asakaze" Add-On Set
The "Seto" (connecting Tokyo and Takamatsu) and "Asakaze" (Nos. 3 & 2; connecting Tokyo and Shimonoseki) shared the same rolling stock during the early JR era.
These trains featured a unique consist: instead of the standard Kani 24 power car, power was supplied by a Suha 25 lounge car equipped with a pantograph, and the formation included an Ohanefu 25 300 car equipped with a luggage compartment.
Starting with this release, the side destination displays have been changed from pre-printed markings to stickers, offering greater flexibility for customization and play.
Recommended locomotives for hauling this set include the simultaneously released <3061-A EF65 1000 Late Type (JR Spec, Gray H-Rubber)> and <3090-3 EF66 0 Series Late Type (Blue Train Hauler)>.

Recreates the train formation used around 1990–1991, featuring the lounge car.
Accurately reproduces the Suha 25 300 (distinctive for its pantograph), Orone 25 300 (featuring Class A private sleeping compartments), and Ohanefu 25 300 (equipped with a luggage compartment).
The Ohanefu 25 100 reproduces the configuration with the added KE70 jumper socket used for emergency pantograph-lowering commands.
The Ohanefu 25 300 reproduces the added luggage compartment, additional passenger entrance/exit door, and the KE70 jumper socket receptacle added to the car end; features illuminated tail lights and a rotating train mark (service name display).
The Orone 25 300 reproduces the distinctive window arrangement on the passenger compartment side and the additional water tank.
The Suha 25 300 reproduces the wide lounge windows (featuring silver borders against black frames), numerous louvers, and the distinctive roof layout resulting from the pantograph installation.
The locomotive-facing end of the Ohanefu 25 comes standard with an Arnold coupler. Replacement knuckle couplers included. Intermediate connections feature body-mounted tight-lock automatic couplers.
Cars 1, 7, and 13 (Ohanefu 25) feature illuminated tail lights and interchangeable train name displays; Car 7 (Ohanefu 25 147) includes a light-off switch.
Rubber window seals are rendered in black for all Orone 25 windows, the name display and passenger windows of the Ohanefu 25 300, and the two observation windows on the end face of the Ohanefu 25 100; all others are rendered in gray.
Body stripes are gold for the Orone 25 and Suha 25, and silver for the other cars. Car number placards are pre-printed; side destination displays are blank white (destination stickers included).
Train name displays include "Seto," "Asakaze," and "Special" (Rinji).
The book-style case for the 6-car add-on set includes space to store one locomotive.
