Series 500 Shinkansen “Nozomi” adopted an aerodynamically optimal sharp form to achieve the maximum speed of 300 km/h as the then fastest Shinkansen model, proving very popular.
It was put in operation in 1997 to run with 300 km/h between Tokyo and Hakata in 4 hours. The design of the train looking like a fighter plane among other novel features was evaluated so high in various fields as to win a few awards on designing. The model is now partially modified and operated as an 8-car express train on Sanyo Shinkansen line. Enjoy the excellent design which still looks very new and speedy even 19 years after its debut.
-Reproduced without touching the body shape of the aero stream type head and cross section.
● Beautifully express the car number, body number, and body notation. By combining with the extension set, you can reproduce the 16-car formation as it is in the actual car.
-Exactly reproduce the shape of the roof, including the body insulators for extra-high pressure.
● Shinkansen train wheels (disc brake expression). Head/tail lights lit. KATO diaphragm coupler (top coupler) is used in the intermediate car joint.
