Express “Niseko” 6-car Add-On set

The express "Niseko" that reached the peak of the SL boom has been re-produced for the first time in a long time together with the two C62s that ran powerfully through the ``Mountain Line''!

-In the late 1960s, the train that reached the peak of the SL boom was the express train ``Niseko'' connecting Hakodate and Sapporo. The express "Niseko", which was introduced in October 1968 when the national white schedule was revised and was called "Yonsantou", ran on the Hakodate Main Line from Hakodate to Otaru, Sapporo, and Asahikawa via Oshamanbe, and supported the large flow of people and logistics such as mail and parcels between Honshu and Hokkaido via the Seikan ferry. In particular, on the Hakodate Main Line between Otaru and Oshamanbe, commonly known as the ``Yama Line'', auxiliary machines were connected to the front, and the large C62 steam engine running in parallel has become a legend as the pinnacle of the SL boom.
After the C62 farewell triple train on September 15, 1971, the DD51 triple train was operated.
