●The 12-series passenger car was an express-style seating passenger car manufactured between 1969 and 1978 (Showa 44-53), capable of a maximum speed of 110 km/h.
●Equipped with air conditioning powered by an underfloor diesel generator and other features comparable to those of electric trains and diesel railcars of the time, it served as the basis for the new passenger cars that later appeared, the 14-series and later.
●Initially operated as group and special trains and for transporting passengers to the Osaka Expo, and later as regular express trains, it was active throughout Japan except for Hokkaido.
●With this release, the intermediate coupling of the SuHaFu 12 will be modified to accommodate Arnold and knuckle couplers.
●The price and JAN code will also change accordingly.

●This is a reproduction of a car belonging to the Western Japan region, circa 1980 (Showa 55). No JR markings, passenger doors and front through doors with stripes, H-rubber gray, toilets with flush pipes.
● The single Oha 12 is a late model, and the Suha 12 is an early 100 series model. No roof reinforcement, taillights on the front end of the brake van, no edge on the through door window on the brake van side, mesh-type air conditioner, large air intakes on both sides of the Suha 12, and a front through door on the Oha 12.
● Side door handles are reproduced.
● Distinctive blue body paint and two white stripes are reproduced.
● Snap-on bogies are used.
