DD51 Late Stage (for warm regions)
The DD51 diesel locomotive, manufactured since 1962, stands as a quintessential symbol of the Japanese National Railways (JNR), having traversed the entire nation except for Shikoku. The DD51 engines that operated in the San’in region boasted a distinctive style, equipped with snowplows and known as the B cold weather specification. They served diverse purposes, from ordinary and freight trains composed of traditional cars to sleeper express trains like the "Izumo".
It remains an indispensable locomotive for both passenger and freight trains along the San‘in Main Line. Additionally, it’s highly recommended as the prime mover for the simultaneous release of the 10-1914 EXPRESS "SAMBE" (5 Cars)..
