Caboose YO 6000
The YO 6000 succeeded the YO 5000 and was used on various freight trains. Compared to conventional cabooses, it features a nimble appearance with three side windows and a slightly rounded roof. A total of 905 units were manufactured and used across Japan until 1986, when the practice of having conductors ride freight trains was discontinued.
● Replicates the appearance seen during the mid-1970s to early 1980s; features the white identification marking indicating the presence of an oil heater.
● Accurately reproduces its compact, nimble profile, including a shorter wheelbase and body length, as well as a lower overall height compared to the YO 5000.
● Tail lights illuminate on both ends. Compatible with separately sold interior lighting kits; includes a light-diffusing plate that recreates the soft, even glow of incandescent bulbs inside the cabin.
● Includes a replacement dummy coupler to provide a realistic finish for the end of the train consist.
