In 1991, the express "Ryomo" was replaced with a new model 200 train, and the 1800 model was remodeled into a 300 and 350 model with the addition of a power-generating brake.
Along with the remodeling, an electric nickname indicator was attached to the front shape, and the headlights and taillights were changed to the same square type as the 1800 type final expansion car.
