Kiha E130 Suigun Line "Orange Persimmon Train"

Orange Persimmon Train

Actual vehicle
●In January 2007, JR East introduced a new diesel railcar, the Kiha E130 series.
●A total of 39 cars were introduced to the Suigun Line, including 13 double-cab Kiha E130s and 13 single-cab Kiha E131s and Kiha E132s.
●The body is made of lightweight stainless steel similar to the E231 series, and the doors are double-leaf doors with three steps on each side to reduce the step from the platform.
●The front is made of FRP and has a through door.
●The Kiha E130 has a vermilion symbolic color that evokes the Kuji River and autumn leaves, while the Kiha E131 and Kiha E132 have a blue-green symbolic color that evokes the Kuji River and new buds, and the passenger doors and front stripe are yellow.
●To commemorate the Ibaraki Destination Campaign, JR East will operate the "Orange Persimmon Train" with its body wrapped in orange from September 16, 2023 to the end of March 2026.
●The sides, doors, and front (red, blue, and yellow) will be changed to orange and the train will operate on the Suigun Line (between Mito Station and Koriyama Station, and between Kamisugaya and Hitachiota).
