Series 415 was an evolved model of series 401 and debuted in 1971 as a train which could be operated by 3 kinds of power supply, either by DC, AC 50Hz or AC 60Hz. As it was manufactured spanning a long period, Series 415 became rich at variety of seats layout and car body shape. The train was in service mainly in East Japan areas centering on Joban line as well as in Kanmon and Kyushu areas.

・ Stable running is possible by adopting a power unit with a flywheel.
・ Head light / tail light, front display lit (with off switch) * Only KUHA 411-611 of 4-car add-on set is not lit
-The front display is already installed with "normal (white letters on a dark blue background)". Comes with a plain front display for replacement
・ The contents of the 4-car basic set can be stored in the vehicle book case of the 4-car add-on set.
